Paul Nylin

Paul Nylin is an Assistant Business Manager for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 236. Nylin is a graduate of Colonie High School and, in 2015, completed the Tri-City Joint Apprenticeship Committee’s (Tri-City JATC) five-year Journeyman Wireman Apprenticeship Program.

Paul also completed leadership and private-sector labor law training at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

Paul has previously served as the shop steward at the Kesselring Naval Nuclear Laboratory for the team supporting the U.S. Navy’s training program. And as an Albany County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) member, Paul oversees economic development and job creation projects.

Nylin volunteers for the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area, Capital Holiday Lights in the Park, the Special Olympics, and St. Joseph’s Stick it to Child Homelessness campaign. He also led volunteer efforts to renovate Ganser-Smith Memorial Field in Menands. He also serves as Assistant Commissioner and a coach for the North Colonie Youth Baseball Association. 

Paul lives with his fiancée, Samantha Yanni, and their two sons in Latham.
